Queen's Landing Hotel to Cater Opening Reception at RiverBrink

The Conference Local Arrangements committee has taken on the challenge of setting up a lovely Opening Reception, just for us, at RiverBrink gallery with enthusiasm and creativity. Thanks to the committee's hard work, delegates will be treated to hors d'oeuvres prepared by the chef at the Queen's Landing Hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake and local wines from Reif Estate Winery.

Plan to join your colleagues at this great kickoff event including members of the Museums of Niagara Area (MONA), who have done a wonderful job with conference local arrangements. You'll enjoy beautiful art, sculpture and precious antiques, surrounded by a garden of horticultural delights at RiverBrink.

The gallery, built by Samuel E. Weir Q.C., is situated on the Niagara River at Queenston and overlooks the battlegrounds of The War of 1812. The collection and library of art is unique in Canada. Mr. Weir's impeccable taste led him to specialize in works pertaining to the history of the Niagara Region, portraits of the area's founders, as well as Canadian painting up to and including the Group of Seven, old Quebec silver, Indian artifacts, French Impressionists and more.
