Student Fellowships
The OMA and Canadian Human Resources Council (CHRC) are pleased
to announce that four student fellowships will be awarded to enable
Ontario museum studies students to attend this year's annual conference.
Eligible students
Students who are OMA members and enrolled in a museum studies program
at either Algonquin College, Sir Sandford Fleming College, University
of Toronto or the University of Western Ontario are eligible to
apply.
Each fellowship will cover the conference registration fee.
The CHRC sponsorship of the conference roundtable session "Marketing
Yourself: Resume & Career Strategies" has made this program
possible. Further details will be forwarded to all Ontario museum
studies departments at the end of August.
Shaw Festival Tickets
The OMA has negotiated a great deal for Conference 2005 delegates
at the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
On Saturday, October 15, delegates can attend the 8 pm performance
of Gypsy at the Festival Theatre for $56. The regular price for
these tickets is $69.
Please contact the OMA by Monday, September 12 if you would like
to purchase tickets.
Doors Open Niagara
A Binational Celebration of the Niagaras
Stay for the weekend! On Saturday and Sunday, October 15 and 16,
over 120 architecturally and historically significant buildings
open their doors free of charge, in Ontario's Niagara Region, as
well as Erie and Niagara Counties in New York, USA.
