2012 OMA ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Join us in the Niagara Region October 17 - 19 for the OMA's 40th Annual Conference!

Hosted by the Museums of Niagara Association (MONA), the 2012 OMA Annual Conference, Destination: Museum! will bring together museum professionals, students, volunteers, supporters and stakeholders with diverse experiences and backgrounds from across Ontario.

This year, the OMA celebrates its 40th Anniversary in Niagara, the heart of War of 1812 Bicentennial commemorations, as the Royal Ontario Museum begins its centennial celebrations and many museums look forward to 50th anniversaries in 2017. This is an opportunity for Ontario’s museum community to gather and reflect on how we celebrate anniversaries, commemorate the joyous and difficult aspects of our past and present, and position museums as must-see destinations for tourists and cultural explorers.
