The 2004 OMA Conference was held October 21-23, 2004 at the Holiday Inn Waterfront in beautiful downtown Peterborough. The theme was "Nogojiwanong - At the Foot of the Rapids" a reference to the name given to Peterborough by the Ojibway First Nations. The community's identity is deeply rooted in its history, natural setting and ancestors. The conference is a forum for timely and insightful discussions on the sometimes turbulent, sometimes calm waters of Ontario museums-and our options when confronted with challenges such as rapids. The OMA Conference provides an excellent opportunity for professional development and networking with heritage professionals.
