BUDGET 2008 CONSULTATIONS

The Ontario Minister of Finance Dwight Duncan is inviting suggestions for the 2008 Ontario Budget in the 2008 Pre-Budget Consultations.

The Ontario Museum Association encourages all OMA members to participate in these consultations!

This is another important step in keeping the government’s attention on museums in Ontario and their needs and to show that we are working collectively towards increasing provincial support to the museum sector.

Here a few ways to contribute to the 2008 pre-budget consultations:
1. Contact the Ministry of Finance office at 1 800 263-7965 (Toll-Free) to arrange to make a presentation locally to the Minister of Finance.
Scheduled consultations are already planned for next week in Niagara Falls, Hamilton, Kitchener and Stratford. See schedule here.

2. Visit the Ministry of Finance website and fill in the online form or email a letter to submissions@fin.gov.on.ca

3. Encourage your board members and volunteers to participate.
