| Emily Alkenbrack was recently named the new Executive Director of The Allan Macpherson House historic site. Prior to joining the site, Alkenbrack worked for three summers at Proctor House, and three more summers at the Fort Henry museum in Kingston. |
Margaret (Meg) Louise Beckel has been appointed as the new Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Museum of Nature, effective June 2011.Beckel joins the national museum from the University of Waterloo where she held the position of Vice-President, External Relations. Prior to that, Ms. Beckel held the position of COO at the ROM. |

Dr. John Carter is retiring from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture after 30 years as Provincial Museum Advisor for Ontario West and Northwest. Dr. Carter recently received the Agnes Macphail Award honouring his long-standing community service and has been appointed as a Research Associate in the School of History and Classics at the University of Tasmania. |
| Dr. Victoria Dickenson has been appointed as the new Executive Director and CEO of the McMichael Canadian Art Collection after serving as Chief Knowledge Officer at the Canadian Museum of Human Rights since 2009. From 1998 to 2009, Dr. Dickenson served as Executive Director of the prestigious McCord Museum of Canadian Art. |
| Guy Labine will soon be Science North's new Chief Executive Director, effective May 7, 2011. Prior to his appointment, Labine was Chief Operating Officer at the science centre for 18 months, and served as the centre's Director of Business Development, a position he has held at Science North since 2001. |
| Paul Lang is the new Deputy Director and Chief Curator of the National Gallery of Canada, effective April 1, 2011. Lang was former Chief Curator at the Museum of Art and History in Geneva, Switzerland for the past 10 years. |
| Dianne Lister assumes the role of President and Executive Director of the Royal Ontario Museum beginning May 16, 2011. Lister joins the ROM from Trent University where she served as Vice President, External Relations and Advancement since 2006. |
Shirley Madill joins the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery as Executive Director, effective May 2, 2011. Ms. Madill currently serves as Director of Rodman Hall Art Centre at Brock University, and is a former Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. |
| Diana Nemiroff is retiring as Director of the Carleton University Art Gallery, a position she has held since 2005. Prior to joining CUAG, Nemiroff was senior curator of Modern Art at the National Gallery of Canada from 1990 to 2005. |
